Affiliate Membership

What is an Affiliate?

Affiliate members, hailing from real estate-affiliated enterprises, join the Santa Barbara Association of REALTORS® to foster connections with our REALTOR® members. While enjoying comparable privileges to REALTOR® members, they have restrictions on MLS access, voting rights in Association elections, and leadership roles in certain committees. These memberships are individual-based, not company-based.

Associate Affiliates also represent real estate-affiliated entities but join an established office under another Affiliate member. This membership is individual-based and requires an initial Affiliate membership. Associate Affiliates possess identical rights and privileges to Affiliate members.

The Affiliate membership is reserved for the first person to sign up for a company, or the office manager, overseer, or supervisor.

These members are joining in an already existing office under another Affiliate and therefore receive a discounted rate to their membership. There cannot be an Associate Affiliate without first an Affiliate member. Despite the difference in name, Associate Affiliates have the same rights and privileges as Affiliate members. If an Affiliate member leaves the membership, the Associate Affiliate's discount is removed, and they will pay the full dues required.
