What are Privacy Listings?
The new Privacy property type was created as an option for sellers concerned about privacy and wide spread exposure of their property for sale. The Privacy listing type meets the MLS mandatory submission requirement, satisfies the privacy needs of the seller, and promotes cooperation among brokers.
Privacy Listings do not require a street number, street name, map location or photo. Similar to Coming Soon listings, Privacy listings will not be syndicated to third party sites (e.g. Realtor.com, Zillow) or on IDX feeds. The listings can be emailed and will be included in Saved Searches, Subscriptions, Portals, Statistics, and Hot Sheet. The seller’s consent on the SBMLS Privacy Listing Addendum is required.
How to Add a Privacy Listing?
Select Privacy from the Property Type drop-down menu on the Add listing screen. Continue to add all required fields. Street number and street name may be left blank and you may use a general vicinity for the map location.
