The compensation field has been removed from the MLS. A new field labeled Seller Consider Concessions is now available. If you have an active listing, you may want to modify your listing in the MLS. The new field can be used to advertise if concessions are offered, but specific dollar amounts or percentages are not allowed.
We need your help to ensure compliance with the mandated NAR Policy. f you have an active, pending or coming soon listing in the MLS, please be sure to remove any mention of compensation. This includes the remarks, documents, photos, videos, etc. Using terms like $/%, percentage, commission, compensation, compensate, concession, percentage, bonus, incentive, payment, etc is a violation of the MLS rules and will result in a fine.
To comply with the settlement ruling, changes have also been made to MLS Rules and Regulations. The rules are now effective and can be viewed here - SBMLS_Rules_-_updated_May_2024.pdf (sbaor.org).
Please reach out to us with any questions. You can also visit the The Facts for REALTORS® (nar.realtor) for more information on the settlement.
