You'll have the chance to choose the committees and activities that align with your interests, enabling you to cultivate new skills and leverage your existing talents (or cultivate new ones!) Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to connect with a diverse network, including board members, through event interactions.

Budget & Finance

The Budget & Finance Committee assesses monthly financial statements, investment policies, and cash flow, while also crafting and presenting annual budgets to the Board.

C.O.R.E.

Join the Community Outreach and Events Committee for a fun way to give back. Organize events like the Charity Golf Tournament, Fiesta Kick-off Party, and Member Appreciation Party. Connect with fellow real estate professionals and community members alike.

Education

The Education Committee develops and provides programs and seminars on a regular basis to meet the educational requirements of members, and to support learning and growth among their fellow professionals.

Government Relations

The Government Relations Committee monitors legislative matters at all levels of government. Keeps members informed and coordinates with members of allied industries in an effort to solve mutual problems.

MLS

The Multiple Listing Service Committee monitors MLS procedures, recommends improvements to current systems, reviews costs and enforces MLS rules and regulations.

YPN (Young Professionals Network)

The Santa Barbara YPN strives to excel in community engagement, showcasing realtor professionalism, and volunteering for causes they're passionate about.

REALTOR® Action Fund

The RAF educates and encourages REALTORS® to invest in the REALTOR® Action Fund. They raise funds for the REALTOR® Action Fund which is used to promote the values, attitudes, and beliefs of organized real estate; every dollar is used to protect and advance REALTORS® interests in government.

Awards

Every year, the Awards Committee selects and publicly recognizes Association members who have performed outstanding services to the Association and/or the community. This committee meets several times between August and December.

Statistical Review

Statistical Review

The Statistical Review Committee organizes The Economic Forecast and presents statistics for members and the public.

Grievance

The Grievance Committee considers allegations of unethical conduct, ethics complaints, or violations of the MLS rules. While they do not determine guilt or innocence, they insure the proper articles and sections of the Code of Ethics are cited based on the alleged facts and screen complaints in order to prevent abuse and harassment.

Ombudsman

The Ombudsmen’s role is one of communication and conciliation, not adjudication. Ombudsmen can help identify and resolved misunderstandings and disagreements before matters ripen into disputes and possible charges of unethical conduct.

Professional Standards

The Professional Standards Committee holds hearings and makes decisions regarding ethics violations and arbitrations that have been filed. This committee is charged with the enforcement of the Code of Ethics and Membership Pledge and the MLS Rules, the disciplining of members, and the arbitration of disputes.
